At Epsom, we believe the measure of a truly great school is its ability to create a community - one that places as much emphasis on personal development as it does on public examination success or national titles. Every child we educate is valued for their individual spirit, personality and interests as well as for the unique perspective they bring to our community.

11-13-year-olds require boarding provision that is tailored to their unique academic, social and development needs. We believe this is best delivered by a school that already provides dedicated, high-quality boarding provision to this age group.

Following careful consideration of local prep schools with close links to Epsom, and especially those with an ethos and sense of community similar to our own, we are delighted to announce that pupils looking for boarding places in Years 7 and 8 will be offered this expert provision at Feltonfleet School from September 2018.

Feltonfleet is a long-standing partner of Epsom, and has offered weekly boarding to children in Years 7 and 8 for a number of years. They know from experience what works best for children of this age, and have built a notable reputation for the high quality education and pastoral care they provide.

There will remain a clear expectation that children taking up this opportunity would join Epsom College as a weekly boarder in Year 9.

The benefits to each child are clear:

  • they are supported by the kind of specialised boarding provision appropriate to their age and development
  • they remain closely connected to Epsom throughout Years 7 and 8 thanks to our dedicated transition programme
  • they, ultimately, have a natural pathway to joining the College at the start of Year 9.

The Admissions Department is able to provide more details on this incentive, and the recruitment process for families considering 11+ entry to Epsom and who are keen to explore the option of weekly boarding.

Please contact Mrs Cathy Kent, Director of Admissions, on 01372 821234 or at admissions@epsomcollege.org.uk for more information.
