The Epsom College CCF, one of the largest in the country, is part of the national youth movement and is administered by the Ministry of Defence. All pupils join the CCF in their junior years. Initially new skills are presented and cadets enjoy overnight camps, expeditions, orienteering, climbing, flying, sea experience and adventure training. Emphasis is then placed on leadership training to prepare the senior pupils to accept responsibility for the teaching of younger cadets.
On Wednesday afternoons, when the CCF operates, 6th formers who are not cadets attend one of a range of activities amongst which are Community Service, Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Drama, Global Development Forum, Martial Arts and International Cinema.
