Drama and Dance

In addition to the thriving academic department, the College also has a longstanding tradition of theatre performance work. As well as movie making, video editing and drama clubs on offer, the College also prides itself in its professional dance activities in its two dance studios, each with sprung floors and mirrors. Dance activities at beginner, intermediate and advanced level are offered in ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop.

The College has a professional theatre technician who teaches eager students everything they need to know about lighting, sound and stage management. We hire professional West End stage sets, as well as make sets. Students have opportunities to develop their design skills in costume, set, props and mask making, all feeding into productions. We regularly hire costumes and set from The National Theatre and work closely with Le Maitre to deliver top quality pyrotechnic displays in our rock concerts and shows. In all aspects of theatre at the College our approach is hands' on. Pupils run our shows and take full responsibility for the design and running of each show.
