Lower School, Headmaster’s Welcome

Great schools are about the creation of community and the personal development of all who inhabit them. We were excited to open the doors of our Lower School in September 2016, and this year are thrilled to have our first full complement of Lower School pupils, with both Third Form (Year 7) and Lower Fourth (Year 8) now engaged enthusiastically all aspects of School life.

The Lower School, which is at capacity, is an equal balance of girls and boys - something which I value extremely highly.

The still red bricks of our state of the art £3 million building are alive to the sound of pupils learning in every minute of every day within our extended community. If you have not visited the Lower School, I urge you to contact our admissions team and arrange to see a building that was highly commended in the 2016 Education Business Awards for the most technically advanced building constructed for the purpose of teaching current and future pupils. More importantly, come and gaze into a community that is created to care for and promote all personalities, all talents and interests.

In September 2017 we rejoiced in the Royal opening of our Lower School. Presiding over the ceremony, HRH The Duke of Gloucester observed, "Any time that a building is developed it is a sign of success and growth. This new Lower School building is a sure sign of Epsom College's continued success - it speaks to the College's outstanding reputation."

I hope these words may come to resonate with you when you visit us, and take time to walk around the College.
