A large gathering of parents and their children attended the Boarding Information Evening
Over 70 families visited the College on Thursday to attend a Boarding Information Evening held in Big School, where they were able to learn about the benefits a boarding lifestyle has to offer to a busy, working family.
Prospective parents learnt about the excellent facilities at the College, its commitment to the traditional boarding ethos and its policy of working closely with families. Presentations were made by Headmaster Stephen Borthwick, senior members of the Common Room and current pupils. Boarders Peter Thomas and Janine Zager from the 6th form, together with Thomas Mumby from the M4th and Felicity Green from the U4th forms, spoke passionately about their boarding experiences.
Visiting children had the opportunity to see a boarding House first hand and to get a taste of a typical evening in a House. Groups of boys visited Granville and Holman and girls explored Crawfurd, where they were able to quiz current boarders about life at the College.
The evening finished with a lively question and answer session, with additional input from parents of current boarding pupils and members of the College's pastoral team.
