Summer reading challenge and Pop-up Library' on the Quad Lawn
This summer the Library staff have thrown down a challenge to all the 3rd Form, Middle and Upper Fourth students: to read two books which are new to them over the holiday and complete four different challenges.
These challenges range from describing their favourite character in a fiction book, taking a selfie of themselves reading their book, to telling us about five interesting facts they have learnt from a non-fiction book.
The pupils are encouraged to come into the library during the next two weeks to select their Summer reading. However, they are not restricted to borrowing just two books - they are allowed up to six items over the holidays.
To provide even more incentive to pay us a visit, next Thursday 22 June we are hosting a Pop-Up Library event on the Quad Lawn from 10.30am-2.30pm and will be providing a free cupcake to each borrower.
In addition, much more comprehensive printed ‘Reading for Pleasure' reading lists for all year groups are available in the Library, and online via the Library homepage and also the Library Firefly page which parents are able to access via their Firefly login.
