Maths master Peter Thompson as the Marvellous Master Mathmagician leading the final session at last week's Mathmagical Adventure
Some 145 children from local prep and junior schools enjoyed a magical day last week when they took part in the College's popular maths workshop, a Mathmagical Adventure.
The Year 5 pupils, accompanied by their teachers, relished the opportunity to share a fun experience, which also involved learning and problem solving.
The mathmagical day unfolded as a mystery of disappearing numbers, which the children attempted to recover working in teams of ten as either apprentice or trainee Mathmagicians.
Organised by Epsom maths master Peter Thompson, who played the role of the Marvellous Master Mathmagician, and hosted by the College's Mathematics Department with help from the 5th form maths set, the event proved to be highly enjoyable for all the participants.
A large gathering of parents watched the denouement in Big School before joining their children for tea in Main Hall.
Schools taking part this year were Priory, Aberdour, Eaton Square and Wallace Fields.
