White House girls show their talent

A hugely enjoyable evening was enjoyed by parents and guests on Monday when the girls in White House hosted their 2011 soirée in Big School.

U6th formers Anna Calvert and Caroline Mapletoft introduced the 20 acts, which included entertaining sketches, drumming, singing, trumpet and piano playing, home-made and edited videos, hip hop dancing, modern solo dancing and guitar playing.

Not to be overshadowed by the students, there were also original sketches and brave attempts to act, sing and play instruments by Housemistress Céline Winmill and House tutors Hannah Brabham and Ian Winmill.

"A fantastic evening, one of the best White House soirées in my seven years as Housemistress" said Céline Winmill "A lovely feeling of love, cohesion and togetherness on the evening of Valentine's Day."
