Delayed at the airport when the Air New Zealand computer system crashed

Meeting ourselves coming back

A rather dull day in most respects as the touring party flew from Wellington to Auckland and then on to the Cook Islands, with a lengthy delay at Auckland airport when the Air New Zealand computer system crashed.

We did, however, have the unique experience of travelling back in time as we crossed the international dateline and arrived at Raratonga airport the day before we left. Some boys are still wondering whether they are a day younger than they were yesterday (or should that be tomorrow?).

The Edgewater Resort, where we will spend our last three nights, is, as expected, a joy, excellently located on the beach opposite a lagoon and surrounded by tropical gardens.
