Greg White scoring for the Toulouse Olympique XIII rugby league team
Old Epsomian Greg White has been called up to the French rugby league squad to play England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland next month.
The 23 year old Australian has an English father and French mother and is eligible to play for all three countries. He came to the attention of the French rugby league selectors after playing for Toulose Olympique XIII in the 2010-2011 season and becoming one of the leading try scorers in France's Co-operative Championship, the second tier competition below the Super League Europe. This season, he will be playing for Toulouse in France's Elite 1 competition.
Before switching to rugby league with Toulouse, Greg played for both the Waringah Rugby Club and Manly RUFC in the Shute Shield Premiership in Sydney, one of Australia's top rugby union club competitions outside the Super 15.
In 2009, he played as an invitation player for India at the Dubai 7s to assist India's development for the Commonwealth Games.
Greg spent the Michaelmas term of 2004 as an exchange student at Epsom, where he was a member of Granville House and represented the College in several rugby matches.
