Over 200 pupils and their teachers enjoyed the 21st Epsom College Prep Schools' Music Festival
This week saw pupils from schools throughout the local area take part in the 21st annual Epsom College Preparatory Schools' Music Festival.
Some 230 pupils and their teachers from nine prep schools gathered at the College for a day of musical enjoyment, which culminated in a superb informal concert held in Big School.
The theme this year was "Thank you for the Music" and provided the pupils from Years 3 to 6 with an opportunity to learn songs and perform together in a large group.
Led by the College's Director of Music, Graeme Lodge, the pupils spent the morning practising a number of well known songs. Following lunch, there was a concert given by Epsom College musicians, then further rehearsals for the young pupils.
After tea in Main Hall, delighted parents and their guests heard their children perform such favourite songs as Seventy Six Trombones, Do Re Mi, Thank you for the Music, Strike up the Band and Rockin' All Over The World.
Schools attending the Festival this year included Broomwood Hall, Chinthurst, Cumnor House, Homefield, Kingswood House, Priory, St Andrews, Surbiton Prep and Ripley Court.
