1981 leavers

'Thirty Years On' theme continues at OE Club Annual Dinner

Richard Bland (Wilson 1978-1982), President of the OE Club, was pleased to welcome 90 OEs and guests to the Annual Dinner in Main Hall on 15^th October.

Continuing the '30 years on' theme, there was a large group of 1981 leavers. There was also a good turnout of old Granvillians who came to say farewell to their former Housemaster, Mike Oliver, before he departs to take up his post as Head of the Senior School, Epsom College in Malaysia.

Richard's guest speaker, contemporary Mark Reading (Holman 1978-1982), brought the house down as he recounted how he and Jeremy Vine dressed as a pantomime cow on their last day at Epsom and were chased by their angry Housemaster.

Stephen Borthwick, Headmaster, attending his last OE Dinner before he retires at the end of the year, was presented with an OE tie.

Next year's dinner will be held on Saturday 13^th October.
