If you have queries or concerns about your grades, your teachers, Housemasters or Housemistresses are available to offer you advice and support. Mrs Elliott, the Examinations Secretary at Epsom College, is available throughout the holidays and can be contacted on 01372 821295 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reconsidering your next steps.
If your results have caused you to think again about your next steps you may speak to either Mr Conway for careers and higher education advice at email@example.com, or Mr Alton to discuss A-level options at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Requesting a review.
If you wish to have your exam papers reviewed, you must be aware that your mark may go down as well as up. It is worth checking that the grade you have been awarded is sufficiently close to the grade above to make a review worthwhile.
A-level students are able to request a photocopy of their paper, which can help you to decide whether to proceed with a review.
To request a copy of your paper please send a completed request form to Mrs Elliott in the Examinations Office no later than midday, 24 August. The exam boards guarantee to send you the script by 7 September, allowing you time to consider whether to proceed with a review.
All requests for review must be processed through the College. Please note that we cannot send letters of concern in support of individual candidates to the exam board.
To process an application for review we require:
- An enquiry form specifying the units to be reviewed, and the services you require. Subject and unit codes are listed on your results slip.
- Payment for the review. Parents of GCSE students will have charges added to their School bill. Parents of A-level students should write cheques made payable to Epsom College. Please note that charges vary by exam board and for the service requested, full details are available below. If A-level grades are reviewed upward, payment is refunded by the exam board.
Deadlines for all applications are midday on 20 September. The examination boards do not accept late requests.
