Autumn is one of our busiest times of year. We would usually expect to welcome thousands of guests to our College. Our normal approach is to throw open the doors and make everyone feel at home. Unfortunately, coronavirus has forced a rethink.
Rather than postponing all visits, we are instead prioritising those families who are on the cusp of selecting their next school.
Families of Children in Year 6 or Year 11, from September 2020
We are delighted to be able to offer you the opportunity to visit us in person.
We realise you are about to make the important decision about your child’s next school, and visiting in person is a crucial part of this process.
This is why we have worked hard to ensure we can provide you with a useful and informative visit, while also taking the appropriate steps to keep everyone safe.
It won’t be quite the same as tours before Coronavirus took hold – we’ve yet to find a way to make hand sanitisers a fun experience and temperature checks never provide the warmest of welcomes – but we’re sure our pupils and staff will make you feel at home.
Booking a Tour
We anticipate a huge demand for these tours.
We will initially contact families already booked onto our Open Morning or any other autumn events. Then we will release the remaining dates on our Admissions pages – please check these regularly.
We have provided enough tours to meet expected demand, but they will be booked on a first-come first-served basis. Therefore we would encourage early booking.
Please be advised that we are unable to take bookings over the phone.
- Each tour will be for a single family (a maximum of two parents and the applicant only, we are unable to accommodate other siblings or relatives).
- You will be guided by either a pupil or a member of staff, depending on availability. All members of your tour group must wear a face mask.
- Guests will be required to use hand sanitiser and have their temperature taken on arrival and registration at the College.
All Other Families
If your child won’t be in Year 6 or Year 11 from September 2020, you still have some time in which to make your choice and we would hope that restrictions will have eased before you begin the application process.
We trust therefore that you will understand why we must prioritise offering tours to those families who are closest to the registration deadline.
In lieu of being able to visit our College in person, we have created a Virtual Open Morning. This features a series of films from senior members of staff, introducing various aspects of College life.

We have created this tour to give you the chance to look around our grounds and facilities, even though we can’t welcome you in person.
For the best experience, please view it in the YouTube app on your phone or tablet. Remember to set playback to the highest quality – so you can enjoy our estate in all its glory!
