Cricket Success Continues

Success in County Cups

Both Epsom’s boys and girls teams have continued their pleasing start to the season by gaining places in the County Cup Semi-finals.

The Girls’ U15A were victorious against St George’s in the quarter-final, while the boys defeated Downsend in the U13A tie.

The Boys’ U14A and Boys’ U15A sides produced fine performance vs. Cranleigh and Tiffin respectively. All have all moved impressively through the rounds ahead of an exciting end to the term.

The Boys’ U17A side has also made it through to the last 16 in the national Cricket Paper U17 Cup. We wish the boys and girls the best of luck in the games.

 

Cricketers Selected in County Games

Epsom’s cricketers continue to make an impact on representative cricket in the area.

In girls’ cricket Ella Clinton (U17), Kitty Ellis (U17), Lucy Stephens (U15), Madeline O’Brien (U15), Edie McLennan Fordyce (U15), Phoebe Howe (U14/15), Keira Johnson (U13), Scout Craggs (U13) and Olympia Beumer have all represented Surrey in recent games.

The boys’ side also saw a great deal of involvement, with Ben Butterfield, Harry Porter, and Harry Gardner representing the U18 side, while Ben Berry and Jack Martin played in the U15s.

Harry Porter also made his professional debut for the County Men’s 2nd XI.

Nathan Farmer, Alfie Haxton, Ralphie Albert, and Alex Frewer have been involved with the U14s, With Zac Spear, Alfie Michaels, William Hamilton, Will O’Flinn, and Thomas Palmer playing at either U13 or U12 Level.

U4 Pupil Shamir Shah has also played an inner county fixture for Sussex.
