Chemistry has moved its exciting Cultural Hour slots online this term, starting with Middle Fourth pupils who enjoyed an online presentation called Science: The Past, The Present and The Future by Ian B. Dunne.
His talk showed exhibits and artefacts from his personal science collection and covered a variety of topics such as the science behind the becoming of the universe, present-day satellites and meteorites and the likely end to our sun. Other talks will run for all year groups over the course of the Michaelmas Term every Thursday night.
Ian – also known as “The Professor” and the “Science Stand-Up” – is a regular at the Epsom College Science Appreciation Week and has presented on a wide variety of topics in the past.
