Epsom played an U15 girls’ doubles, boys’ doubles and two mixed doubles pairs against Greycourt School in Richmond.
Gina Liebenberg (Rv) and Charlotte Thesiger (R) won their doubles match easily 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile, the boys, Jacob Hansson (C) and Nick Wong (H), had a tougher game with all matches going neck and neck all the way. Amazing tennis was played by both teams, with Epsom winning the first set 7-6 (12-10) in the tiebreak, losing the second set 4-6, and then winning the match tie-break convincing 10-0.
The students then played mixed doubles. Charlotte and Jacob lost the first set 3-6, then warmed up and won the second 6-1. They then won the tiebreak 10-5. Gina and Nick won their sets 6-4, 6-2.
