Year 9 pupil Ananya Kailasam continues to make strides in the world of Musical Theatre. Ananya’s Music Theatre achievements include:
British Theatre Academy
- Solo roles in Moana, Matilda and 13 (all 2021), and then the title role in Annie (2022) – a particularly impressive achievement at the age of only 13 as the cast was aged up to 18.
- Will be a lead role in Sister Act this summer.
- She was invited to compete in the Vanessa Awards, a competition of the top actors across all British Theatre Academy shows (ages 12-25) and came third in the Advanced category
Other Achievements
She has just gained membership in National Youth Music Theatre – the top youth music theatre company in the country, and will begin working with them over the summer.
Ananya also trains with West End Musical Theatre every Sunday – the top Music Theatre academy in London – targeting the next step of her musical theatre development with this highly advanced company, regularly working with scouting agents and professional choreographers/musical directors.
