Charity Fair Raises An Incredible £1,500

Every House hosted a booth with wacky and wonderful offerings all in aid of the Earthquake Relief Fund, one of the College's charities this term.

On Friday afternoon Main Hall was a flurry of activity as the Charity Reps, aided by students from each House, put on a vibrant and exciting Charity Fair for pupils.

Every House hosted a booth, with a variety of games, activities and edible treats available. Many of the girls’ houses offered sweet treats galore including a chocolate fountain, hot crêpes made to order, homemade cookies, a pick-n-mix sweet shop and a bake sale. Some of the boys’ houses got inventive with their offerings, from table football matches, sales of evil eye trinkets from Turkey (courtesy of Granville’s Selim Ardac), the Lower School pupils were particularly thrilled by the Malteser game held by the Forest boys and the unique ‘Pie the Charity Rep’ on offer at Holman’s stall, as Will Lovatt put himself and housemates in the firing line all in aid of the charity. Our own Head, Sir Anthony, took part in that particular activity (see video below).

In just over an hour the pupils raised an incredible £1,500 for the DEC Earthquake Relief Fund for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

Thank you to all pupils and staff who took part and helped raise this incredible amount of money.
