Lower Sixth students were given the chance to speak directly to staff and students from the country’s top universities, asking questions of alumni who were only to happy to share their stories. Epsom students were able to ask important questions about what life at university is really like and find out information about specific courses in greater depth.
Potential medics and veterinary surgeons heard from OEs about what they enjoyed most about their programmes, and how to ace the interview to secure a place on competitive courses. For students interested in studying in Scotland, a university representative from Glasgow gave an enlightening talk on the advantages of this route.
One Epsom student said: “The university fair was very insightful because it gave a clearer idea of the options and what universities had to offer”.
In addition to Epsom’s Sixth Formers, 120 students Cheam High, Blenheim and Therfield comprehensives were invited to join the fair and listen to a talk by Surrey University.
For those who missed the talks, the talks were recorded and will be available in the weekly careers newsletter sent out by Mr Conway.
Thank you to our OEs and university representatives who generously gave their time to support the students.
