A truly great result considering the International status of the Wellington top pair, who both play for England. In challenging conditions, the way that both Liam and Will played so consistently was a credit to them both. With true grit and fine ball striking, they played par golf to the 18th and a memorable win.

Once again the Epsom golfers showed great character going down the last few holes but unfortunately when a par was needed at the last, they could not quite deliver to seal the win.

Considering that one of the Wellington players went round 3 under par, Epsom’s final pair (with higher handicaps than their opponents) always struggled to gain momentum despite finishing two over par.
