Epsom’s Kris Kim to Make Debut at British Masters this Summer

Following his star turn on the PGA Tour, Kris will debut at the British Masters in August.

The 16-year-old, currently sitting his GCSEs at Epsom, will spend his summer holidays competing on Europe’s DP Tour at the British Masters.

The Masters will be hosted by six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo at the Belfry, from 29 August to 1 September.

Having played in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson earlier this month in Texas, Kris had five birdies and an eagle in a three-under-par opening 68 in McKinney before finishing 65th overall. His performance saw him become the youngest player to make the cut since 2015.

“I am so excited to play at The Belfry later this year,” said Kris, “The British Masters is an event I have grown up watching and to have the chance to play is a dream come true.”

Kim is the winner of last year’s Boys’ Amateur title as well as the European Individual Championship and McGregor Trophy, while he starred in Europe’s victory over the USA at the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup in Italy, finishing unbeaten as he claimed three wins and a half.
