Glorious Golf Day

This week, parents, Old Epsomians and members of the Epsom College community took part in an inaugural Epsom College Charity Golf Day held at Walton Health Golf Club.

Eight teams took to the Old Course to play for team and individual prizes.  The Yellow Ball competition was hotly contested, with only three teams managing to bring the ball back to the 19th hole.

The weather was kind, albeit a little windy and the course was challenging, however, all players returned to the clubhouse thrilled to have taken on this famous course.

Once the impressive scores had been totted up, guests enjoyed drinks and a BBQ supper.

The Chair of Governors, Dr Alastair Wells, thanked all who attended and this was followed by prize giving, a raffle and a silent auction draw which was conducted by Director of Development, Helen Tranter.

All proceeds from the day were in support of the charity appeal, to raise funds for the College’s new state-of-the-art centre for excellence – The Mermaid Building.  Work is underway to build this 2,000 square metre development and we are grateful to all who are donating and making this landmark development a reality.

Thank you to all who attended and everyone who played their part in making this event a great success.
