Growbaby Toy Drive Returns For 2020

T he needs of disadvantaged children have been thrust into the spotlight in recent months thanks to the admirable campaigning of Marcus Rashford. It is fitting, therefore, that Epsom College is once again doing its bit to make Christmas special for those less fortunate, through our longstanding relationship with local charity Growbaby.

Through this partnership, our pupils, their families, and College staff are invited to donate good quality toys to children in need, which are then distributed by Growbaby.

Every pupil has been assigned a particular child in the local area. The age and gender of the child has been specified so that pupils can donate an appropriate and personal gift.

This year, the age of these children ranges from newborns to young teenagers. Pupils are asked to bring the toy to school, labelled with the child’s age and gender, by the morning of Saturday 5 December.

“Every year I am blown away by the overwhelming generosity of the College community. This year’s drive will raise the spirits of so many young people in our area, particularly with the added challenge of lockdown which has taken its toll on many families.”
