Epsom fielded two teams for the Guildford High School Model United Nations. The delegation of the United States included Kate Collie (M), Jay Doshi (Fa), Kaycee Padayachy (M), Alex Povey (Rn), and Amy Wydenbach (M), whilst the delegation of Switzerland included Zachary Naughton (H), and Anna Valieva (W).
Although a number pupils and students were novices, various were mentioned in dispatches, with Kate, Jay, Kaycee, and Amy all passing several amendments each, and Kate ultimately emerging as Highly Commended in the Security Council (ie. second place at the Conference). All in all, a pleasing performance from an inexperienced pair of teams, which bodes well for the forthcoming home fixture in March.
