Epsom’s Politics Society welcomed another fantastic speaker from the world of UK politics this week.
Gina Miller discussed her experiences of single-handedly bringing two major court cases against the government, which successfully prevented Theresa May from triggering Article 50 without parliamentary approval and halted Boris Johnson’s five-week prorogation of Parliament.
The engaged audience of pupils posed a wide-range of questions to the guest speaker, who also outlined the policies of her newly-founded political party, True and Fair, and stated her intention to stand as a parliamentary candidate in Epsom and Ewell in the next election.
It was a pleasure to welcome Gina Miller to Epsom College, our pupils were interested in what she had to say and the wider discussions around the future of politics.
