Lower School Musicians Put On Quite A Show

On Tuesday evening the College community was treated to a concert of high-quality musicianship from the Lower School pupils.

The Lower School Orchestra opened the concert with Jean Sibelius’s Finlandia, followed by Star Wars. There was a wide range of strong solo performances for voice, piano, violin, cello, flute, and drums, as well as a rousing rendition of Watermelon Man by the Junior Blues; for the majority of whom this was their first performance in a jazz group.

The night ended with a powerful offering from the Lower School Vocal Group, performing Circle of Life and Somebody That I Used To Know accompanied by a skilled band ranging from Year 8 to Upper Sixth. The musical community at Epsom has lots to look forward to as these young musicians grow through their school career.
