Despite the inclement weather, the educational visit was a spectacular success: pupils dressed up in traditional Indian dress, before processing through to the shrine to see how Hindus worship. Pupils then undertook a workshop in classical Indian dance and visited the farm at Bhaktivedanta Manor, learned about Hindu ethics in farming, and fed the sacred cows whilst learning about the status of cows in Hinduism.
After a fascinating morning, pupils ate a meal of homemade curry (incorporating cheese from the farm), before extending their knowledge and understanding of Hinduism in a lengthy presentation on religious beliefs and practices.
