Lower Sixth Gain Insight Into Life At Cambridge University

The students explored the campus, gained insights on studying Theology at the university and met up with OEs to hear more about life at Cambridge.

Eleven Lower Sixth Religious Studies students visited the University of Cambridge for a Theology taster day.

Starting at the Faculty of Divinity, the group were shown lecture halls, libraries and other facilities and given an overview of what it would be like study Theology and attend Cambridge.

Next up was a lecture (helpfully on a topic of an upcoming test) followed by a Q&A session with an academic scholar to further discuss Theology, the admissions process and life at Cambridge.

Heading out into the city, the students were able to meet-up with OEs Max McKinlay (Class of 2022) and Elina Smith (Class of 2021) who both currently attend Cambridge to hear about their experiences. To finish the day, Elina gave the students a tour around her college, Selwyn College.

Thanks must go to Mr Greenbury and Mr MacDowel for arranging and taking the group for the informative and thought-provoking day.
