The girls have started the season really well, and enjoyed an 85% win rate against all opposition this past Saturday.

Against Portsmouth Grammar, who the 1st VII beat to reach the quarter-final of the National Independent Schools Cup, a team made up entirely of Lower Sixth girls won a close 1st team match 33-29, with India Binnie (R) and Elisabeth Phizackerley (Cr) the key players.

The 2nd team this week enjoyed the company of some 1st team U6th players to win 37-12 against PGS, thanks to a faultless display from Ellie Cooke (R).

For the 3rd team it was captain Maria Wall’s (Cr) turn to shine this week in a convincing 29-6 victory, while the 4th team also won for the second week running, 18-15, thanks to some fearless shooting under pressure from Valerie Song (Wh). The 5th team also remains unbeaten, following a 21-12 victory thanks to Marina Zockoll’s (R) strong all-round play.

Junior Teams
