Following a rigorous application and review process, we are delighted to reveal our new Heads of House. These roles are a crucial part of student life in leading and shaping a positive culture within each house. Importance is placed on ensuring that the ethos of Epsom College – Kindness, Ambition, and Integrity – permeates all areas of school life.
All applicants for the role of Head of House go through a stringent process which includes observations in a variety of situations and discussions such as what they believe are the values at the heart of their house, what they think are the challenges facing new pupils, and what events could they introduce during their tenure which they believe would have a positive and lasting impact on their house.
For this term, Heads of House will be acting College prefects now that Year 13 students are away for exams and university visits. Induction and training begins and will cover expectations of the position, leadership and team-building training, in-house and offsite activities for cross-group cooperation.
Our new cohort are the first to experience the advent of the new Heads of School process from September. This sees the prestigious termly accolade shared between two prefects, allowing for greater breadth of student representation within the community.
