Over 1,300 Toys Donated for Local Children This Christmas

Every year, our local branch of the Growbaby charity, in Kingston, puts a call-out for toys and gifts for children aged 0-18 and we hold our own donation drive in support.

The response to the Growbaby Toy Drive this year was incredible, with the need greater than ever for families who may otherwise not be able to provide gifts for their children this Christmas.

From a giant stuffed gorilla to a parent who generously donated toys directly from manufacture, the College community has really shown its support to less fortunate children in our local area.

Mrs Tanya Van Dalen, Director of Growbaby Kingston, spoke in Chapel, sharing personal stories of the children and families who would receive our gifts.

Overall, more than 1,300 gifts were donated from our community, over a third of the total target Growbaby Kingston was hoping to gather this year. Every one is much needed and will be cherished by the recipients.

Our Charities Co-Ordinator, Dr Eliott Lockhart, and the Chaplaincy team send their very grateful thanks to everyone who has supported this year.
