Pupils Help to Prepare Local Library Bus

Epsom College pupils have helped Wallace Fields Infant School get their brand new reading bus and library up and running. The local school recently took delivery of a traditional red London bus which has been refurbished into a hub for all things literary.

Mrs Debbie Binns, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant at Wallace Fields said, “Our Epsom College volunteers work in classes with pupils aged from 4-7 years on a weekly basis. They listen to individual children read and support children with their carpet learning, as well as helping to serve lunches and interacting with children in the playground. Their support this week has been invaluable in helping to categorise and label up books in readiness for the launch of our Wallace Fields Infant School Reading Bus.”
