Thirteen Prep Schools Put Their Thinking Caps on For Maths Team Challenge

Mrs Christine Gamble, Head of Mathematics, presided over the Prep Schools Maths Challenge, where 13 schools competed for a shield with their mathematically-minded Year 5 pupils in teams of four.

The College welcomed teams from Banstead Prep, Danes Hill, Homefield, Lanesborough, Longacre, Newland House, Prospect House, The Hawthorns, The Mall, The Study Prep, Thomas’s Battersea, Thomas’s Clapham, Westbury House.

The competition consisted of a series of maths and logic problems, and the final round was an energetic relay round.

Finally, in round three, there was a fast-paced and fun relay where pupils passed maths problems back and forth between two pairs with a need for accuracy and speed.

Congratulations to the overall winners Homefield, closely followed by Prospect House who placed second and Lanesborough in third.
