Two County Champions And Nine Personal Bests at the Surrey Athletics Championships

Epsom College entered 12 athletes into the County Championships held on Saturday 12 June at The Weir Archer Athletics Centre, Kingsmeadow. In splendid sunshine, all the athletes performed extremely well with many setting new personal bests.

The College returned two County Champions – both in Middle Fourth. One was George Johnson (P) in the Javelin, with a throw of 43 metres. The other, and the standout performance of the day, was Mattao Bouget-Kotlar (P), who achieved an Entry Standard for English Schools in the Triple Jump with a leap of 12m 24cm.
