Sport Round Up – 18 November

There was an exciting 34-32 win for the Basketball 1st team against Box Hill on Tuesday.

The Football 1st and U13A teams have reached the last 16 in the ISFA cup in their respective age groups. The 1st team took a competitive 1-0 win against Bradfield, who have great pedigree in this competition. They will now face Manchester Grammar in the next round. The U13A team beat Haileybury with an incredible 11-0 to progress in the competition.

The Hockey teams had several fixtures this week, with 9 wins 1 draw and 3 losses against Sevenoaks and 5 wins and 3 losses vs Alleyn’s School.

The 1st and U16 Netball teams narrowly missed out on the next stages of the National Cup on Sunday but the U16As and U14As made it through to the second round of the Sisters n Sport National Netball Cup.

In Rugby there was cup success for the U14As vs Tiffin School and U15As vs Whitgift this week, both teams will progress to the fourth round of the National Cup. There was a good win for the 1st XV on Saturday against a strong Cranleigh side in the Daily Mail Trophy and a good showing from the Lower School teams this week in a triangular with St George’s and Caterham.

The Epsom Ski team secured brilliant second and third places in the Mixed Senior School category at the Surrey Ski Championships last weekend. All team members put in a fantastic performance, only just missing out on the top place by 1.5 seconds on the combined time.

Our Squash teams had a great week with the KS4 boys’ and girls’ teams and the KS5 girls’ team winning their group stages in the Squash National fixtures this week.
