Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Director of Rugby to advance the rugby programme.
• Deliver high-quality coaching for the under-18s senior XV, coordinating with both internal and external coaches.
• Lead as the forwards coach.
• Provide coaching during all games and activity sessions.
• Manage the Elite Rugby Programme, including:
o Individual and small group technical coaching sessions.
o Coordination with Strength and Conditioning Coaches.
• Assist with other tasks as required by the Director of Sport or Headmaster to ensure smooth school operations.
• Supervision of pupils ensuring an active and motivational session
• An awareness of health and safety
Required Skills/ Essential Criteria
• Experience coaching forward and the set piece.
• Understanding of the role of sport and activities in individual development.
• Proven ability to motivate and encourage participation.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently with a proactive, flexible, and positive approach.
• Proficiency in IT software, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of school sporting commitments.
• An understanding and commitment to safeguarding protocols within a school environment.
• Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to contribute to coaching in one or more major sports.
Desirable Criteria:
• Played or coached at an elite level.
• Ability to use video analysis software.
• UKCC Level 3: RFU Advanced Coaching Award Desirable.
The selection panel may enhance any or all of the desirable criteria to make a decision.

Terms and Conditions
Hours
Monday to Thursday 2-4pm during the Michaelmas term time including Inset.
Additional rugby specific clinics for two hours a week.
Commitment to pre-season training and sports tours during school holidays, up to 7 days.
Salary
Total £10,000 based on the above commitments payable in equal monthly instalments August 2025 – end of Michaelmas term 2025.
Holidays
Statutory holiday entitlement to be taken during College’s holiday published dates. The holiday entitlement has been included in the total salary above.
Pension
The College operates the Epsom College Automatic Enrolment Scheme. The Scheme is administered by the Pensions Trust. Eligibility is based on statutory criteria. If eligible, the Employee will be required to contribute a minimum of 5% of Basic Salary and the College will contribute 4%. Employees can opt out of the scheme.
Life Assurance
Members who are automatically enrolled or who choose to opt into the College Pension Scheme will be provided with life assurance cover at two x contractual annual basic salary subject to scheme rules.
Health Fitness and Wellbeing
Free use of Fitness suite and swimming pool are available to staff at certain times.
Parking
Free car parking for staff is available on campus.

Whilst at work free refreshments available when on site whilst at work.
Offer of Post
